Steel chair

While studying in Denmark, I was impressed by the nearly effortless execution of genuinely innovative furniture. Designers were actually architects working on a smaller scale.

Procedure:

Study + Travel,
Chair studies,
Sketches,
Models,
1:1 Drawings by hand,
Tubular steel techniques,
Jigs and Upholstery.

The strength and linear quality of tubular steel was emphasized. Every element is necessary to afford a stable structure and efficient design. This approach produced a visually graphic, lightweight and volumetric chair.
